"INNOCENCE OF LEARNING"

For my first exhibition, I wanted to present my personal take on learning. The beauty of mistakes and the misery of perfection. Learning is an everlong process that shapes our personalities. The way we are now comes from all the trials and errors we experienced as children. In my exhibition, I want to present work revolving around that viewpoint - the foundation that enables all later intuition. The innocent attempt of expressing one’s own thoughts.

CLOTHING

Being a fashion student, I put most of the attention on the exhibition to the clothing. The focus was to highlight how so called mistakes shape our future development. Every piece was made using different techniques which I want to include in my future fashion career. Presented takes and try outs are part of my development so I am more than proud to show every error. All 5 outfits were made in a period of 1 year; all garments being a small outside school projects creating a well orchestrated capsule collection.

DRAWINGS

Initially inspiring to be an architect, drawing was a big part of my creative drive ever since I was little. For the exhibition I decided to present three drawings that I worked on for over a year. Being raised in urban areas, an animal means mainly dog or a cat; to me a human created creatures that are not close to what real wildlife feels like. Never experiencing what real animals live like I drew fusion of all the popularized wild animals traits, fused, mixed , blurred, just as they appear when I think of what a true animal is.

SCULPTURES

A series of metal sculptures are reflecting on my childhood, where I would learn everything that based me as a person and a creative. Raised in a post-soviet country playground would be deprived of color, with a minimalistic design.
